LaGallery was founded by Tania Barudy and Guillaume Aidan.

This collaboration between a fashion and communications enthusiast and an expert in contemporary art, has resulted in a unique platform dedicated to the accessories of the XX Century, beconing "the antique dealers of handbags."

Tania was born in Chile and grew up in Belgium. In 2003 she moved to Paris, where she lives today. Tania has had a rich career in both fashion and advertising. She worked for many years with the Belgian house of NATAN, with who she still collaborates. Her experience has made her an expert in craftmanship and curation. This combination is what led her to focus on the “handbag” which is a perfect reflection of her professional know how and personal passion
Guillaume, meanwhile, was born in Paris at the end of the 1970s. He began his career in business law, and ultimately became a gallery owner and agent for contemporary artists for 12 years. He has now taken his passion and knowledge for art to identifying and curating beautiful vintage pieces

La Gallery started as a website launched in 2010. Tania and Guillaume were intent on creating a physical space where people could experience their beautifully curated collection. They wanted to be able to share with their visitors the experience of travelling back in time and discovering the creativity, craftmanship, ingenuity of finishes, and appreciate the smell and touch of the historic leathers. Their dream to open a store became reality in 2012, when they opened La Gallery store in the heart of Saint Germaine’s, 7th arrondissement Antique district, at 50 rue de Lille.
While their neighbors present 18th century furniture and design from the 50s, La Gallery pays tribute to the expertise of the master craftsmen of timeless fashion of the 20th century. We offer accessories, handbags and luggage from the 1920s to the 1980s.

Each piece is thoroughly researched and expertly selected from around the world to bring you treasures that have held major historical roles in their respective categories. The well-curated selection is rare, authentic and dedicated to the best materials, shapes, and craftsmanship.
